  • I used to play with a friend who had a braille Scrabble set with brailled tiles and large print letters. Our rule was that anyone who could read braille had to get their hand out of the tile bag very quickly, or else (not sure what the "or else" was... probably losing a turn or something).

  • With regular Scrabble tiles it is possible to cheat by feeling for favorable letters or blanks. Brailling can be prevented by the use of protiles or tournament tiles.
