  • Su coccoi ("su" is the Sardu article) is a typical Sardinian bread, with a hard and crisp crust and a very soft and flaky pulp. A google image search will show you how beautiful it can be - google flavor hasn't been created, so far.

  • Only indirectly. Cocco can have different meanings: focaccia (bread), egg, or talisman (my favorite). The etymology of coccoi may be the fact that some of them have an egg in the center.
