  • O.K., I made this one up. It'd be wonderful if it ever entered the dictionary though! I use it to mean 'the extent to which one can reasonably be described as a drongo'. And a drongo is an Australian epithet which I first heard from Barry McKenzie, the archetypal Aussie anti-hero, in the early 1970s.

  • I like it! Didn't know the word drongo until now. Is there a drongosity index?

  • It's a bird, supposedly awkward and slow. I've never met one. Neverheless, one of the subspecies is the spangled drongo which is certainly a flash name for any bird.
