  • Stumbled across this word in a bike review. From the usage, it appears to be the equivalent of a chuckle at having written a phrase which could be read as an innuendo or immature joke.

    "Keep it up! (phnaar phnaar)"

    urbandictionary seems to list this under 'fnar' and 'fnarr' - with 'fnarr' being the expression made by a comic book character. circa 2003.

    updated again - "fnarr fnarr" is listed in Robert Hardwell Fiske's Dictionary of Enendurable English.  2011 - page xiv , 

    fnarr fnarr seems to go back to 1989 - Time Out Film Guide p. 686
    fnarr fnarr is credited to the Character Finbarr Saunders in Viz comics.
