One of the last words Abraham Lincoln ever heard, from a line in Our American Cousin, the play he was watching when he was shot. John Wilkes Booth knew the play, and timed his shot so it would be covered by the laugh line: "Don't know the manners of good society, eh? Well, I guess I know enough to turn you inside out, old gal--you sockdologizing old man-trap."
