  • They took their own survey.

    April 22, 2010

  • No problem. I'll just write my own survey and take it.

    April 21, 2010

  • "Freak not what your country can do for you..."

    April 21, 2010

  • Thanks for the link, John. So, uh, what's the Wordnik time-share's puke price? Just curious.

    April 21, 2010

  • You didn't miss much. It was actually just a time-share sales pitch.

    April 21, 2010

  • We might have some umbrage left. How about you take that?

    April 21, 2010

  • It's gone. You're too late :-(

    April 21, 2010

  • How do you get to the survey?

    April 21, 2010

  • Thou shalt not freak.

    April 21, 2010

  • "Freak not"

    *snort*

    April 21, 2010

  • I wanna take the survey too *sniff* - where is it *snuffle*? C'mon guys tell me!

    April 21, 2010

  • Interesting. I saw it as a hypothetical question, as in "What else could you possibly waste your time doing if Wordnik didn't exist?" ;-)

    April 20, 2010

  • haha everyone freaked on question 2.. me 2. i thought maybe wordnik was in trouble 2. good to hear it's not going anywhere!

    April 17, 2010

  • Freak not, as an old friend of mine used to say. The survey questions were canned--we didn't write them. We're not going anywhere. And the survey will come down shortly--we just wanted to try and gather info from a broader swath of visitors. You folks, but also drop-ins from searches, people who use the site but don't register, those not inclined to chat.

    April 16, 2010

  • Question #2 scared me too.

    April 16, 2010

  • Dint is one of my favorite words. I use it every chance I get. :-)

    April 15, 2010

  • Question number two scares me.

    April 15, 2010

  • I see dint is already on sionnach's amber words list.

    April 15, 2010

  • I like that you used "by dint of."

    April 14, 2010

  • This survey actually taught me something, by dint of making me think. It asked me "How can we improve Wordnik to better meet your needs", and I was about to reply "Add a thesaurus!", but then I thought "No, wait, I'd better check to see whether Wordnik already has a thesaurus." And wouldn't you know it, it does! I just hadn't spotted it before. (It's under "Related", up top.)

    Thank you, little orange survey!

    April 14, 2010

  • One of the few surveys I've really enjoyed taking. Nothing gives more pleasure than explaining why I love Wordie/Wordnik.

    April 14, 2010

  • Hah! Saw bilby's comment first on mobile, where the screen wasn't enlarged enough to show the banner. I was about to say, reference surveys in general 'take your survey and statistic it where the sun don't shine 100 times out of 100'.

But it's a wordnik survey, so I can't now can I? It'd be sacrilege bleu. *slinks off to take survey*

    April 14, 2010

  • You can't have taken it. It's still there.

    April 14, 2010

  • Take our survey... and list it? Favourite it? Feck it out the window?

    April 14, 2010

  • I saw Wordnik's orange banner in the lower right corner inviting me to "Take our Survey", so I did.
