  • SBC for reed. the fricative breaking out of the trill onto aspirated 'k' echoes the whispering sound of reeds in the wind (as unromantically phrased as that was).

    Another beautful word for it (or a very similar plant...there's tons of those whispery grasses at lakesides) is šaš.
