    A zindernuff is "something completely ridiculous that you believe as a kid. I'm not talking about stuff like Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, where there's a conspiracy of adults lying to children in order to trick them into believing that nonsense. I'm talking about theories that a child develops on his own based on his limited understanding of the world. For example, when I was young I truly believed that giraffes' horns were actually antennae that they used to communicate, using radio or ESP or some sort of mystical giraffe power."
