ABC's Robin Roberts and Diane Sawyer use the phrase "wait on" when they mean to say "wait for". I actually hear this incorrect usage quite often and it irritates me.
Apparently, one no longer babysits for a baby. Now, one babysits the baby--makes me wonder whether the sitter expects to hatch one. Terrible usage of the word.
