A shortening of "fucking what?" - when one is surprised by another's statement and thus displaying surprise and curiosity for an explanation. As in "Hey Bob, I won a million dollars" - Bob: "fwhat? did you get a lottery ticket or did you know pi to the 1000th digit?"
