a distilled liquor, made from rice, often described as the Korean vodka. Popular as shots, mixed into cocktails (sojutinis took off in the U.S. because soju can be sold under a beer & wine license), and dunked into glasses of beer to make "bomb" alcohol a la Irish Car Bombs.
