Gideon is just such a wonderful hero, and his character is so beautifully drawn.
Anyway, I can vouch for the fact that Gideon is suitably, horribly, wonderfully tortured.
Gideon is the most delicious tortured hero and his journey to the light is so brilliantly done.
And yes, Gideon is supremely tortured and chivalrous!
In this one, Charis hasn't had an easy time of it, but definitely Gideon is the more tortured of the two.
The thing I love about Gideon is he doesn't spend time dwelling on his own problems, he's intent on solving Charis's problems for her and that makes him such a wonderful example of the Knight in Shining Armour.
