cstdizier Far be it from me to offer a scholarly treatise on this marvelous word. It is, I think, unique in that it is the only single word to fully describe an upright man of integrity, who is respected and carries himself with complete honesty and dignity. It is Yiddish, and there is no higher compliment that one can pay than to say of someone, "Ah, he's a mensch!" Great word, and deserving of the full treatment of your great website. Sep 22, 2009
