  • An abbreviated way of requesting someone's age, sex, and location. Used primarily to assist in speculating about whether another person on the internet may be attractive, and whether a sexual relationship with him or her would be even remotely feasible. Most commonly asked by pedophiles in AOL chat rooms.

    Requesting asl has no practical purpose that isn't creepy on at least one level.

    ASL can also refer to American Sign Language, which is a greatly preferred use of the term.
