  • It's probably under godwit as well as bar-tailed, oroboros!

You know, migration is one of the things that always pops in my brain when I look at those little birdies in my backyard. Appearances often to the contrary, they are TOUGH little cookies.

Just like when I look at the moon, I always find myself thinking "People walked on that once." (Actually, to be fair, I usually think, "Twelve white, American, mid-height men walked on that once.")

  • C_b's right, oroboros. I developed a rather arcane way of listing birds when I first started, so that the adjetives are in one list and nouns in other lists. So I have bar-tailed in one place and godwit in another.

I've thought of changing it, but I don't think humans live that long. ;-)

P.S. C_b, me too. Migration is a wondrous thing. I can never get over the distance these critters travel.
