uselessness This word is fun because of the "ish." Like largish, pinkish, boyish, and nerdish: it conveys a sense that one is vaguely similar to an aristocratic Brit in a sloppy and not-quite-serious manner. Less God Save the Queen and more Hey Hey We're The Monkees.
At least, that's how I interpret it. But then again, I'm American. ;-) Jan 25, 2007
