    Domowina is an independent and self-supported umbrella organizantion for Sorbs and Sorbian organizations committed to free and democratic procedures and has the following aims: To support the preservation and development, promotion and diffusion of the language and culture of the Sorbian people, of the Sorbian national consciousness, of the Sorbian community, of the national solidarity, and of Sorbian traditions and Sorbian regions.

    To support Domowina - local groups, Domowina - regional associations, and further Sorbian organizations in their work for the well-being of the Sorbian people.

    To represent the interests of the Sorbian people in public, vis-a-vis local, district, provincial, and federal institutions and authorities.

  • I have always been curious about the Lusatian Sorbs. Are you Sorbian, Kargin?

    By the way, I assume domowina means "homeland" (as does domovina in Slovene).
