Good luck with the new job, John! And thanks for Wordie, it's so ... well, for lack of a better word, just great.

  • More about WordNet here.

We've talked about a system to promote comments on words that aren't in WordNet to definition status, based on some kind of flag or voting system, perhaps. I hope to add something like that eventually, but there are other upcoming features in line ahead of it.

This might be an opportune moment to mention that I won't be dedicating quite as much time to Wordie for a while. I just took a job with Curbed.com, which I'm very excited about. I'm still working on new Wordie stuff, it'll just be rolling out at a more stately pace.

  • The comments feature is where users add whatever they want, Innanja, including definitions, usage notes... wisecracks... etc. Bilby's right--definitions (or daffynitions) appear next to the word only if they're in WordNET's database. Hope this helps!

  • The definitions appear automatically IF WordNET has one.

  • Help! I would like to have the definition next to it's word. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

I mean like in here uxorial

    Thanks!
