- n. A torchlight procession, a survival from medieval tournaments, which is celebrated at some of the German courts on the marriage of a member of the royal family.
- n. A musical composition designed for the above procession. It is written for a military band, and is a polonaise in march-time (¾), having usually a loud first and last part and a soft trio.
