(Obsolete, dialect) Used in exclamations, as in "What a ferrup," "What the ferrups" (= "What the deuce"), "by the ferrups." According to OED, first used by Dryden in Troilus and Cressida: "Put up, and vanish; they are coming out: What a ferrup, will you play when the dance is done?"
I think it's time for a ferrups revival.
