One of the remoras (Echeneididæ), said to be used by the Chinese to catch other fish and turtles. The remora has a powerful sucking-disk on top of its head, and clings tightly to any object. A line is said to be fastened to the tail of the remora, for the purpose of pulling it and its captures to the shore.
