frindley I'm a writer, a calligrapher and a frindley, so of course I think Andrew Clements was experiencing a moment of sheer genius when he invented this word for pen. I was rooting for Nicholas Allen* all the way. And yes, I've been given several copies of Frindle over the years — I guess it seems the logical thing to do (and it is a very satisfying yarn).
