- n. In architecture, a molding, more commonly called cyma reversa or ogee. See cyma, 1.
- n. In entomology, a piece which in some insects forms the lower surface of the head, behind the mentum, and bounded laterally by the genæ or cheeks. It is conspicuous in the beetles, but in many other insects it appears to be entirely absent, or is represented only by the inferior cervical sclerites, little corneous pieces in the membrane of the neck.
