arby I'm always getting confused about this vs. jury-rig - Bartleby sez this is just a variant spelling, probably based on jerry-build. I thought jury-rig meant specifically fixing a jury, not a makeshift shoddy contraption. But people seem to use the two interchangeably to mean the latter. Oct 17, 2007
