  • A traditional unit of volume in Scotland equal to 1/4 Scots peck. A Scots peck was about 9.1 liters for wheat, peas, or beans and about 12.1 liters for barley or oats, so a lippie was about 2.27 liters for wheat, peas, or beans and about 3.02 liters for barley or oats.
