  1. Mixed with honey; sweetened. Wyne mellite, as saide is, save hem shall. Palladius, Husbondrie (E. E. T. S.), p. 53.
  2. A rare mineral, first observed in the beds of brown-coal in Thuringia. It occurs in tetragonal crystals and nodular masses of a honey-yellow color; it is a mellitate of aluminium. Also called honeystone.
