  • That film was one of the reasons I ended up in Alaska. It turns out that some of the documentary footage was staged, but it was still an unusual film for its time--an exotic documentary shot on location. I hope you get a chance to see it sometime.

  • The term "Nanook of the North" stands out for me, and it appears to be a 1922 movie, see IMDB . Weird, I wonder why an 85 year old movie pops so quickly to my mind.
