  • I could throw autochthonous in there. The phrase indigenous people is used more often in Australia than native people to refer to persons of Aboriginal or Torrest Strait Islander descent.

  • For distributions of plants and animals, I think in terms of

    endemic: found at a given place but nowhere else,

    autochthonous: found at its place of origin (used more often in geology),

    indigenous: originally from a place, but might also occur elsewhere,

    native: has been in a place for a long time and got there naturally if it didn't originate there,

    adventitious: occurring in places outside the normal range and not established there,

    introduced: humans put it there,

    cryptogenic: nobody knows where it came from.
