  1. A name of the reed-warbler, Drymæca or Cisticola schænicla, and of other African warblers of the same genus. One of them, D. textrix, is remarkable for building a beautiful nest, something like that of the long-tailed titmouse, with a supplementary nest outside for the use of the male.
