It's proved a necessity to create a word like this for the project I'm on right now, with a multiplicity of freelancers, contractors, designers, contract-employees, regular employees, and work-flow that goes through people who aren't your "supervisor of record" because on paper they don't have the authority to supervise anyone. But for everything other than job questions--i.e. for anything having to do with your work but not your employment itself--you talk to this person. Your pseudovisor.
