It looks arbitrary: finc- could be from one of the stem forms of fig- "make, shape". Or conceivably a deformation of 'funicular', equating metal rope with wire; dare anyone coin 'reso-' out of 'resemble' though? Jun 17, 2009

  • milosrdenstvi Anyone know the etymology? It seems like it ought to be Latin, but I can't find anything. Jun 17, 2009

  • reesetee I like it! :-) Nov 12, 2007

  • yarb We all know someone who we've always wanted to describe as resofincular, but didn't know how to. Until now! Nov 12, 2007

  • mollusque Resembling a wire hanger. Nov 12, 2007
