rolig I don't think this is actually the act itself. This word means "castrators" in Russian and plural – �?копцы, sg. skopets - �?копец. It refers to a Russian religious sect, dating from the 18th century, that practiced self-castration and other forms of self-mutilation for both men and women, though members were permitted to marry and have one child.
