bilby Mimics the Russian spelling. And, when I did a recipe search in earnest about a year ago - I remember well, cause I was making it for a dinner party and wanted to compare a few different recipes to make sure I had a good one - there were more hits on vinaigret. Plus, I think it's a useful distinction: vinaigrette the dressing, vinaigret the Russian-style salad. Oct 1, 2008
