  • Rhursday is a joking reference to the old weekly code of
    "M T W R F S S" which appeared on paperwork referring to
     Monday to Sunday, and using R instead of a T for thursday.  You can find references to MTWRF in some books - typically college course calendars.

  • I had never noticed this. Could it be a Canadian thing? And why are Saturday and Sunday “S and S?” Why not “S and N?” Here hide many mysteries.

  • Checking with some people, I seem to be alone in using Thursday, but they did recognise the R for Thursday code. MTWRF

    in further looking, the Mac OS has a command line command 'pmset' which uses MTWRFSU for date codes.
