  • Most of my friends and I call say /wɪkɪ'pidiə/, although I've heard both of yours as well. Neither bothers me too much, I guess.

  • The standard pronunciation 'round these parts is wɪkə'pidiə (WICK-uh-PEE-dee-uh), but every so often I hear someone pronounce it wɪki'pidiə (WICK-ee-PEE-dee-uh), as in this video. I find this second pronunciation jarring, and eerily disturbing. Am I overreacting?

    Edit: But rereading the Wikipedia page creation rules, I think this site tends to fall under their mission statement.

    Edit2: By "fall under", I mean it doesn't fit into what they (the mods) want for there to be a page.
