George Carlin once said, “There are no bad words. Only bad thoughts and bad intentions,†but I disagree. I believe strongly in the existence of bad words. I care little what they mean, but the act of speaking, reading, writing, or hearing them pains me. These words reflect poorly on us as a culture, seeping like festering wounds onto what is otherwise one of the greatest triumphs of our species; language.
