    <title>Wordnik.com: Loaded Names</title>
    <link>http://www.wordnik.com/lists/loaded-names.xml</link>
<description>Certain character names (first, last or both) are loaded with archetypal (or stereotypical, depending on your POV) meaning. Their origin is a chicken-or-egg question: do TV and film use these names because of their social significance or do they have social significance because TV and film use them?
&lt;br /&gt;At any rate, there they are. Put 'em down and comment on the archetype therein contained. Foreign-language entries highly encouraged, so long as there's a comment accompanying them.
&lt;br /&gt;It is curious, also, whether different English-language communities have different name-stereotyping (does a nerd by another name smell as sweet in Australia?).</description>
