  • Thanks John - it's working fine both ways for me now in Google Chrome.

One minor thing that you might look into is this scenario: I have my word list sorted alphabetically (so I can find yesterday's duplicates, delete, and re-add them). When I delete one of the words and confirm the deletion, the sort order changes to entry order - even though the URL still shows "?s=a". So after re-adding the word, in order to get back to an alphabetic listing, I have to click the "order added" link, followed by the "alpha" link.

  • Hmmm. Okay; in my case, using the "Add" button results in a word being added once - whereas hitting Enter results in several duplicates.

  • Thanks; looks like an awesome site (with a responsive developer, judging from http://www.wordnik.com/people/feedback

  • @ruzuzu - I deleted "jutes" from my list myself when I saw that it had many, many duplicates. But then I realized that so many other words had the same issue. I think you might be onto something with the distinction between hitting Enter instead of clicking the Add button.

  • I don't understand why adding a word creates several duplicates. I'm using Google Chrome as my browser - could that be it? I submitted this issue to feedback@wordnik.com

  • Thanks for the tips. I should have thought about site-specific Google searching.

I'm also finding it helpful to view other lists with the same word, and finding similar word lists that may be of help in the future (e.g. "cross words", "Literati").

  • Nor many others. Is there a way in Wordnik to search for other members' word lists by topic?
