  • | Reply | Permalink while i completely agree with your contempt for rick warren's political and religious views, i find your comparison of him and his congregation to skinheads wildly inaccurate, and frankly quite offensive. while it is true that rick warren has a completely antiquated and misguided view of humanity, he has never advoated the systematic murder of many groups of people, he has never mentioned the secret subversive rule by lgbtq or participated in any violent actions against lgbtq. once again, i do think you contempt for warren's views is just, but comparing him to a white supremacist (who would most likely attempt to assassinate any president of the last 3 presidents if they had a chance) seems to be an exercise in histrionics.

  • Mercy's right--it stands for "intersex." And by the way, invert was once a term for "homosexual" (See Well of Loneliness), so introvert isn't far off. ;-)

  • Actually, the "I" is for "intersex", those with biological aspects of both sexes. As an aside, you'll sometimes see LGBTQIA as well, with the "A" standing for "allies".

  • Pro, it's meant to stand for "questioning" and/or "queer." Take your pick. :-) Also, there are variants: GLBTQ, LGBTQQ, and even GLBTQ? (the question mark being for--you guessed it--questioning).
