  • refuse from cider-making.

    January 3, 2008

  • Is this everything bar the juice?

    January 3, 2008

  • *wondering whether this counts for specific excrement*

    January 3, 2008

  • Really, reesetee? Is it... I mean... does some living organism actually... you know... poop this out?

    January 4, 2008

  • Oh heck, I don't know. I may be the Prothonotary/Provost of Fattiehead, but I don't know the first thing about cider-making. I'm assuming it includes the corpses of yeast cells, at least.

    January 4, 2008

  • Yeast-poop is carbon dioxide and alcohol as far as I know. I'm not sure what you call yeast cell corpses. Bread? :-)

    January 4, 2008

  • Well... I don't think I'll be adding carbon dioxide and alcohol to my Specific Excrement list. Though we as a species obviously owe yeast a debt of gratitude.

At any rate... pouze doesn't seem like actual specific excrement so much as... fun to say.

    January 4, 2008

  • But I did make you think about it, didn't I? Mwahaha!

    January 4, 2008

  • Right. Fine. You find me a specific word for yeast poop, and I'll add it to the list. *grumbles* Pouze indeed...

    January 4, 2008

  • Pouze might possibly be Lees which is why I was asking. No matter what they say, I aint really a pouze-cruiser.

    January 4, 2008

  • Well, since "alcohol" and "carbon dioxide" are out, I guess I'll have to start searching....

    *grumbles*

Bilby, you never did strike me as the pouze-cruising type.

    January 4, 2008

  • pizza. pizzicato. sprezzatura. spritzer.

I have a theory that everyone likes words with both a 'p' and a 'z' sound in them. Maybe this is the real reason people seem to want to comment on this word.

    January 4, 2008

  • Nah, reestee had us at "excrement".

    January 4, 2008

  • I'm puzzled, frankly.

    January 4, 2008

  • Pouze is rubbish. I upend your theory.

    January 4, 2008

  • It's not specific excrement; it belongs on my Lees list. It's also called pug and pomace.

    January 4, 2008

  • Thanks for the reminder, mollusque. Good grief, I'd almost forgotten about your list!

Sionnach, you may have something there. I've been wondering why so many of my words begin with P. Until I realize that more of them begin with S. :-)

    January 4, 2008

  • Pouze to all youse, toos!

    I just like saying it.
