rolig Why so perplexed, Tectquix? Peritus's meaning is correct, although I have more commonly encountered the form centauromachy, but both are correct and equally valid. The battle between the centaurs and the Lapiths, at the wedding feast of Pirithous, was a well-known theme in Greek art, most notably on the frieze of the Parthenon in Athens.
