You know, I listed just the ones that derive from Latin pax, but there are many others (avveniu, assentu, asseliu, sussegu, assussegu, arresettu, risettu...).
One of my favorite Sardinian sayings, nonetheless, is
Keep your hatred. One day you'll have a chance to take revenge.

So... Pro ... You really would have us believe that what are obviously words for 'avenue', 'sausage', and 'risotto' really mean 'peace'.
Hmmm.
And, of course, sardine = peacenik. :-)
