uselessness I would expect that oi frequency would increase with proximity to the Yiddish language, but I'll be the first to admit I don't personally know any Ashkenazi. A raspberry is the sound made with the lips: a fart sound, or the blubbery noise produced when one sighs with his mouth loosely closed.
