chained_bear Possibly. I have been avoiding solely politically loaded terms, because there are so many of them, and because it's hard to get any kind of perspective on such recent events. I was trying to gear it more towards terms that have some historical context, even if most people aren't aware of that context anymore. But you'll notice the more recent the terms on this list, the more politically oriented rather than historically oriented they are. Give me a few weeks or months to think about it, and maverick could well belong here. It certainly has a connotation much larger than what it used to mean.
Especially when Samuel Maverick's descendants are decrying the new definition of the term...
