It seems straightforward enough, until you are trying to remember how you like them. Then bizarre verb forms ending with -ed tend to come out of your mouth, such as the ones on this list.

  • sionnach But I think picassoed hash browns might be a possibility - cut in cubes with a nice blue cheese dressing.

    Similarly, hash browns Madonna, served with two ice-cream cones, would be a definite possibility. Sep 22, 2009

  • chained_bear That could be fun, but it wouldn't be a requirement. This actually started on Saturday night at a (what else) Waffle House 'round midnight, when the giddiness of a huge plate of double hash browns scattered, smothered, and covered led to a public musing of the wide variety of nasty-sounding verbs with -ed on the end, whose vague and fuzzy meaning when applied to hash browns could contribute to the must-be-taken-on-faith allure of ordering diner food in the first place. :)

    I mean what, exactly, would a plate of scattered, pimped, choked and fan-belted hash browns really look like? ... Wait, don't answer that!

    On the other hand, some of these could certainly have delightful if madeupical meanings. And who knows how many lists (or comments) THAT could spawn... Tee hee... Sep 21, 2009
