And bilby, you're right on skunked. I believe hops are the culprit. Dec 20, 2007
bilby I've heard that 'skunked' means that beer has gone off due to exposure to light, which makes compounds in beer break down into thiols, similar chemicals to those found in a skunk's spray. Hence the dark bottles.
