reesetee Ooh, I almost forgot the sauce!
Sorry, skipvia. Want us to air-mail you some? Jan 19, 2008
skipvia I'm staring at eight inches of new snow, thousands of miles from the nearest fried pickle with comeback sauce. Thanks, c_b... :)
Plus, I can't get me and you and a dog named boo out of my head. Better go skiing... Jan 19, 2008
chained_bear With comeback sauce, don't forget! WOOOOOOO!!! Jan 19, 2008
reesetee Jennarenn, I have a feeling you'd love them. They're truly fried goodness. I first experienced them in Mississippi, and I've dreamed about them ever since. They're hard to find way up here. :-) Jan 19, 2008
asativum Oh, man, you haven't lived* until you've had really good fried dill pickles. Think about it: salty, sour, crisp, crunchy, tangy, even a little sweet! And it supplies all the major snack groups, too: fat, salt, sugar, zip... Now where can I get some...
* OK, maybe you've lived, but you haven't really, truly enjoyed everything there is to enjoy about it, in particular fried dill pickles. Jan 19, 2008
jennarenn Really? I love all things fried, but...pickles? Jan 19, 2008
reesetee Me too. Hmm...*looking for recipe* Jan 19, 2008
asativum I can't believe I forgot fried pickles! Mmmm. Wish I could have some right now. Thanks reesetee! Jan 19, 2008
reesetee Yum! Asativum, I don't know whether "fried" counts, since it's a way of cooking pickles after they're cured. Your call! (But boy, are they good.) Jan 19, 2008
asativum No, pickled punks need not apply. Besides, some of the punks I have known have been belligerent whilst pickled.
Reesetee, I do believe that may be it. I think I'll have a luncheon meat sandwich with plenty of pickles. Or maybe I'll have a sub. Or a grinder. Or a po' boy. Or ...

reesetee *wishes it weren't absolutely necessary to be reminded of that* Jan 18, 2008
arcadia For some reason I feel compelled to remind everyone about "pickled punks" (miscarried fetuses put in jars for sideshow and freak-show attractions) -especially since Asativum alluded to "pickled vegans" yesterday. But I don't recommend you put this on your list, at least not as a luncheon meats side food.

reesetee Asativum, are you...you know, hungry? ;-) Jan 18, 2008
asativum They go so well with luncheon meats, don't you think? See also In a pickle for other luverly fermented foodstuffs. Jan 18, 2008
