bilby commented on the word fattoria
It's a crested penguin. And he's too snobby to go to the dry-cleaner's.
That's exactly something he could do.And very well too.;-)
ruzuzu commented on the word fattoria
Would he fabricate something about how its fabric was fabricated at a factory farm?
sionnach commented on the word fattoria
Too afraid to. What if he gave an honest answer?
Has anyone asked bilby why there's a stuffed emperor penguin in his laundry hamper?
You can call me anything you like, Pro, given it's not offensive of course. And wow, does frogapplause have a loooong name. Heh.

Have to ask stickypaws-hyperbores-manicjackdaws-forgottenwars-laststraws frogapplause about that.
I didn't see any evidence of droopy drawers.
Just to clear up any confusion, this is my laundry hamper.
uselessness commented on the word fattoria
If you're into regex, try _? to indicate a possible underscore. ;-)
Prolagus commented on the word fattoria
I'm just reading the first Vexample.By the way, can I call you "P(_)"?
What did the second pronunciation say? It was pretty good!(Accidentally read uselessness' comment as 'Do that have auctioneers in your useless corner of the world?'
Do they have auctioneers in your corner of the world?!
Now, this pronunciation was hard.
'Ecco! la fattoria,' said the driver, pointing to it.Am I the only one amused by the uselessly generic nature of this 'vexample'?I mean, it could be a pig, it could be the Book of kells, it could be bilby's laundry hamper, a vexing syntactical error in "The da Vinci Code", la plume de ma tante. Anything, really.
The first Vexample is spam. Funny spam.
madmouth commented on the word fattoria
fabrika also means 'factory' in SBC (and, I warrant, several other European languages). I often see the false friend effect with sensible, which means 'sensitive' in (many? all?) Romance languages.

Italian - farm, not factory. Interestingly this subject throws up another false friend in fabbrica, factory not fabric. To cover all options, spread your investments between a farm and a fabric factory and you shall live in peace.
