I stumbled across some horrible pictures on the net which prompted me to start this list because I don't ever want to go to the place where those pictures came from and see any of those people. So in my ongoing effort to remain alive, I want to start a list and eventually a Google Map Overlay of places to never go to.

Places in the World to Avoid due to:
Hostility, Poverty, Religious or Political Persecution, Political Corruption,
Prone to Natural Disasters, All Around Insanity etc..

the kinds of places where people decapitate or torture other people in public and it's like no big deal (in fact it seems fun to them), or places where massive flooding, earthquakes, tsunamis tend to occur frequently to that *specific area*.

  • marky bilby, Why Banyuwangi? Because I saw pictures of people just standing around holding heads of people that they apparently beheaded and everyone was posing for the picture like it was a family vacation and they were all just smiling. There are many like that. Jan 20, 2010
