misterpolly Fun list for those who know German and French. A nice Italian "falso amico" is "morbido" = soft (morboso = morbid).
A friend who worked for Lever Bros. tells me that they tried (unsuccessfully) to market a deodorant spray in Germany with the unhappy name of "Body Mist". A little homework might have saved them a lot of money - not even a free gift would have helped. Jan 8, 2008
